What are these compostable hot cups made of?

All hot cups, available at EcoSoul, are made from upcycled sugarcane bagasse.

Bagasse is a leftover that is left behind once the juice is extracted from sugarcane stalks. And, usually, this agro-waste ends up in landfills or is burnt to get rid of the mess. However, we believe in embracing the circular economy. And, by upcycling this plant waste into some stunning everyday essentials like hot cups, we ensure to rely on the planet's fastest replenishing resources.

Once we extract this agro-waste, it goes through a vigorous process under a pulping machine to extract the fibers. The extracted fiber is then dried and stored. After being air dried, the bagasse is then screened and diluted into pulp to fit the molding equipment.

The pulp is sculpted into products like cups and bagasse plates under a hot press machine and goes for a final inspection. Under the final inspection, we ensure to trim and cut out any abnormalities to offer you the products that are just perfect to fit any mood.

In a nutshell, bagasse is eco-friendly, compostable and a good alternative to traditional plastic or styrofoam used to make cups.
